Get answers to common questions about Chin.
Most clients experience mild redness or tenderness for a few hours to a day. Our technicians apply soothing gels and recommend avoiding heat, heavy products, or exfoliation for 24–48 hours. Seek care if severe pain, prolonged swelling, or infection signs occur.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and care routines. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and improve texture. We recommend scheduling maintenance appointments every 4–6 weeks to keep the chin and jawline consistently smooth.
Aim for hair about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long so wax can grip effectively. Short trims are okay, but avoid shaving immediately before. If hair is too long we can trim it during the service for a more comfortable and effective waxing session.
Waxing can cause ingrown hairs for some clients, but proper aftercare lowers risk. Gently exfoliate 48–72 hours after to free trapped hairs, moisturize, and avoid tight clothing. For persistent ingrowns, ask about in-salon treatments or topical products to help clear them.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy, though increased sensitivity is common. Always disclose medications and consult your healthcare provider if taking isotretinoin or other contraindicated drugs. We perform patch tests and adjust techniques to ensure comfort and safety for expectant clients.
Clean, makeup-free skin is best. Avoid exfoliating or using retinoids 48–72 hours beforehand and limit sun exposure. Ensure hair length is adequate (about 1/4 inch). Inform your technician of medications, allergies, or recent skin treatments prior to waxing.
